T-Mobile Proxies, and the Three Things That Name Refers To

If you searched for a T-Mobile proxy you're probably after one of three unrelated things, and the results page mixes all three together. Worth separating them before anything else, because two of the three don't cost money and don't need us.

• A proxy statement. T-Mobile's investor relations site publishes one every year. It's a shareholder voting document and it has nothing to do with networking. If that's what you wanted, you're on the wrong page.
• The Proxy field in APN settings. When you set up a device on T-Mobile, the data APN has a proxy field that's normally left blank. If a support article told you to check it, leave it not set unless T-Mobile told you otherwise. Filling it in breaks data on most handsets.
• A proxy server that exits through T-Mobile's network. This is the commercial product, and the rest of this page is about it.

What you're being sold when you buy one

Most vendors ranking for this term sell you an address that sits inside T-Mobile's ranges rather than a phone on T-Mobile. Sometimes that's a static ISP address registered to the carrier and hosted in a data centre. Sometimes it's a shared residential pool that rotates you through addresses whose history you can't inspect. Both are legitimate products and both are cheaper than what we sell, which you should factor in.

What we run is a physical handset with a T-Mobile SIM, dedicated to one customer. The reason that's worth more is carrier-grade NAT: a real mobile line shares its public address with a crowd of ordinary subscribers, so blocking it is expensive in a way that blocking a datacenter address never is. An ISP address registered to T-Mobile doesn't inherit that property from the registration.

T-Mobile or Verizon

There's no better network in the abstract. Platforms accumulate separate reputations for each carrier's ranges, so the question is only ever which one your target treats better, and that's something you measure rather than something anyone can tell you up front.

Two rules of thumb that hold up. If the accounts you're working with were created on a network, staying on it is the safer default. If you're testing whether a network is the variable that matters, run a line on each and change nothing else. When you shouldn't buy this

If nothing has blocked you yet, don't start here. A residential proxy costs less and clears most targets, and the honest reason to move up to a dedicated carrier line is that something specific is pushing back and you've confirmed the address is why. Buying the expensive option first means you never learn which part was the problem.

The same goes for the carrier choice itself. If you can't name a reason to prefer T-Mobile, you don't have one, and picking whichever network has stock is the correct move rather than a compromise.
