SOAX Alternatives: What Reddit Suggests

What SOAX is good at

Worth saying plainly, because a comparison that pretends the incumbent is bad isn't useful. SOAX is a large-pool provider. It sells access to a big rotating set of addresses across many countries and several proxy types, billed by the gigabyte. If your job is broad crawling that needs a lot of different IPs in a lot of different places, that's the right shape of product, and swapping it for a handful of dedicated devices would be a downgrade.

So the first question isn't which alternative. It's whether you want a different provider or a different kind of proxy.

The three reasons people go looking

1. The bill moved

Per-gigabyte billing is fine until a job runs longer than planned, and it quietly changes how you work. People start rationing test runs and sampling less than they should because every check costs money. If this is your complaint, another per-gigabyte pool provider will reproduce it at a different rate. What removes it is flat pricing per device, where a heavy day and a light day cost the same and you stop thinking about it.

2. The IP arrived with a history

This is the one that sends most people looking. In any shared pool, an address you're handed has been used by somebody else, possibly an hour ago, possibly badly. When a target blocks you on the first request, that's usually what happened. It isn't a knock on one provider, it's how pools work, and moving to a different pool moves you to a different set of strangers rather than removing the problem. 3. The IP won't stay put

Rotating pools are built to rotate. That's a feature for crawling and a problem for anything with a session behind it. If you're managing accounts, a stable address that looks like one person's phone is worth more than access to millions of addresses, and rotation you don't control is the thing breaking your logins. Dedicated or shared sets out how to tell what a seller is really offering.

Which alternative fits which reason

  • You need pool scale. Stay on a pool provider. Compare on price per gigabyte, country coverage, and success rate against your own target. Dedicated mobile is the wrong tool and we'd be a bad recommendation.
  • You need clean IPs that stay clean. A dedicated mobile proxy is one carrier IP used by you alone, so its reputation is a product of your own behaviour and nothing else.
  • You need a session to survive. Dedicated again, with rotation you trigger yourself rather than rotation that happens to you.
  • You need predictable cost. Flat per-device pricing, so the bill stops depending on how thorough you were.

Don't switch to us if

You need hundreds of concurrent IPs across dozens of countries. You want the lowest possible price per gigabyte. Or your current setup is working and the only reason you're reading this is that a comparison page suggested you should be unhappy. A working proxy is worth more than a marginally cheaper one, and switching costs you a week of re-testing you could spend on the actual work.
