How to Run Multiple Reddit Ads Accounts in Business Manager (2026)

You can run multiple Reddit Ads accounts, but Reddit decides who gets them: "Only managed businesses can create additional ad accounts." If you're on self-serve, the working routes are a separate business for each brand, then Partners to share access between them. Nothing we read from Reddit mentions an IP, so most people asking this don't need a proxy.

What ends ad access is the Reddit account behind it. Reddit says that when your Reddit account gets suspended, it automatically suspends your access to Reddit Ads. So the thing to protect is the login and how it's used, and a different IP doesn't change either one.

One limit on this guide: we read Reddit's Ads Help and User Help pages, but not its Advertising Policy or User Agreement. Read both before you scale spend.

What Reddit allows

Can you have multiple Reddit ad accounts?

Yes, if your business is managed. Reddit's Business Manager guide lists creating an additional ad account as "Managed businesses only", and its member roles page repeats it: "Only managed accounts can create more ad accounts."

What does a managed business mean on Reddit?

Reddit doesn't define it in the pages we read. They point you to "Talk with a Reddit ads expert" to get started, so it's a conversation with Reddit, not a setting you switch on. None of them publishes a spend threshold, so don't plan around a number you've seen on a forum. Ask the expert what your business would need.

Is it ok to have more than one Reddit account?

Yes. Reddit's help article on this exact question opens with "You're more than welcome to create multiple Reddit accounts", and you can verify them with the same email. The line it draws is voting: never use your accounts to vote on the same posts or comments.

Can one Reddit login sign in to several ad accounts?

Yes, when someone gives that login access. Reddit's roles page lets an admin give a member access to more ad accounts, and a member can hold a different role on each one. That's the normal setup for a team.

Can one profile run ads across several ad accounts?

Yes. A profile is the username shown on your ad, and Reddit says it "may be shared across multiple ad accounts". Going the other way, adding more profiles, is managed only: "Only managed businesses can create additional profiles."

How do I run ads from a different Reddit profile?

This is the most common question in r/RedditforBusiness. If you're managed, ask your Reddit expert to add the profile. If you're not, posters there describe two routes: log in to Reddit Ads with the brand's own account, or have that account share the profile to your business. A third-party guide on googleadsopenresearch.com describes creating a second Business Manager for the new profile and sharing it. Treat all of that as reports from advertisers, and check it in your own account.

Is there a limit on ad accounts per person?

Reddit doesn't publish one in the pages we read. The only number near it is that you can choose up to 10 additional members while setting up a new ad account, and that's a setup screen, not a cap on your team. A thread in r/RedditforBusiness says you can't have more than one ads account per Reddit handle, but it's six years old, so don't lean on it.

The limits in one table

Everything here comes from Reddit's Ads Help. It changes, so check the page before you plan around a line.

Which route fits you

Three setups cover nearly everyone. The first two are Reddit's own features, and the third is what we'd do if you can't get managed.

One business with several ad accounts

This is the cleanest setup, and it's the managed one. Reddit says an extra ad account lets you assign granular permissions to assets. You share audiences between accounts, you can put credit lines on them, and everyone logs in to one place. If you spend enough for Reddit to talk to you, ask for this first.

Partners between separate businesses

This is the agency route, and Reddit's Partners page says it strongly recommends it for managing multiple businesses and for partnering with a brand. A client keeps its own business, and you share profiles and ad accounts so one side can run ads for the other. You can share credit lines, custom audiences and Pixels the same way.

One self-serve business per brand

If you own three brands and you aren't managed, our recommendation is one business per brand, each with its own legal name, website and payment method, connected through Partners if you need one team on all three. It's more admin than one Business Manager, and it mirrors what's true: three brands, three businesses.

Can I use one business for several clients?

Don't, unless you're managed and the accounts sit under your agency by agreement. Our view: if a client leaves, you want to hand over a business that's theirs. Ending a partnership is a defined step in Partners, while a client living inside your own business needs untangling first.

Setup, step by step

Step 1: Pick the Reddit account that owns the business

Reddit requires a Reddit account before Reddit Ads, and its setup guide warns that ads may be posted using your account if you add it as a profile. So we'd use a clean brand account, not your personal one. It can't be set to Not Safe For Work, because ads can't run on those.

Step 2: Choose the username carefully

The username can appear on your ads and it can't be changed later. If your name's taken, Reddit suggests adding "official" or an underscore. If your brand has a trademark, its setup guide gives you a support route to raise it.

Step 3: Fill in the real business details

Reddit asks for your first and last name, your business's legal name, an optional website, your industry, your country and your currency. If you're advertising for another company, mark "I work with an advertising agency". The country and currency can't be changed later, so get them right the first time.

Step 4: Invite people as members, not as shared logins

Each person gets their own login and a role. Business Admins manage members, profiles and credit lines, and they're the ones who create ad accounts. Members work on the ad accounts they've been given. If someone leaves, revoking business access removes them from everything at once, which a shared password can't do.

Step 5: Turn on two-factor authentication

In Business Details you can require 2FA for all members or for all business admins. Do it. Since a suspended or compromised Reddit account takes ad access down with it, every login on the business is a way in. You can also set an email allowlist, so new members must join with a company address.

Step 6: Connect other businesses through Partners

Go to Business, then Partners, create or join a partnership, and share only what the other side needs. Think before you end one: Reddit says disbanding revokes access to all shared assets and turns off ads that use a shared profile, credit line, custom audience or ad account. Campaign data stays in the ad account where it was created.

Step 7: Name ad accounts so people can tell them apart

The ad account name is only visible to members of your business, so use it for your team: client, region, currency. Set the time zone and currency with care, since neither can be changed later.

What gets Reddit Ads access suspended

These come from Reddit's User Help, not its ad policy. They're the sitewide rules every account lives under, and the Reddit account is what your ad access hangs on.

Your Reddit account gets suspended

This is the big one. Reddit's words: "When your Reddit account gets suspended, we automatically suspend your access to Reddit Ads." While banned, you also can't create self-serve ads. Bans can be temporary or permanent.

Voting from your accounts

Reddit's Disrupting Communities rule names "Creating and employing multiple accounts, voting services, or any automation to manipulate vote counts", and coordinated voting too. Never have staff or client accounts upvote your own ads or posts.

Organic spam from the same login

Reddit's Spam rule covers repeated or unsolicited actions, automated or manual, including mass-posting for exposure or financial gain. If your posts are mostly links to your own business, Reddit says to be thoughtful about frequency or consider its self-serve ads. Don't run a promo-heavy organic habit on the login that owns your ad account.

Evading a ban with another account

Reddit defines ban evasion as using an alternative account to keep taking part in a community that banned you, and says it could result in a sitewide suspension. Its Disrupting Communities rule also says not to evade enforcement. We won't help with getting back on after a ban, and a new IP isn't a fix for one.

What if I'm not suspended but can't reach Reddit Ads?

Reddit says you might be caught in its spam filter, and its setup guide links to the steps for getting back on track. Start there before you open anything new.

What if my account was banned by mistake?

Use the appeal route in Reddit's ban article and tell the truth about what happened. Our view: a working appeal is worth more than any second account, because the ad account's history and billing stay put.

Does Reddit need a warm-up for ad accounts?

Not for reach. Reddit's setup guide says "Karma won't affect your ad performance", so the warm-up routines sold for organic accounts don't apply to paid ones. Warming up matters if the same brand also posts organically, and how to warm up a Reddit account covers that.

A new ad account still deserves a slow start, for your own sake. This schedule is our advice, not a Reddit rule.

PeriodWhat we'd doWhy
Day 1Finish billing, add a pixel, set 2FAFix the boring parts before money's moving
Days 2-3One campaign, a small daily budget, one community targetFind any rejection early, and cheaply
Days 4-7Add a second ad group if the first clears reviewOne change at a time, so you know what caused what
Days 8-14Raise budgets in steps, not jumpsBilling surprises are easier to fix at low spend
Days 15-21Add more members or a partnerAccess changes come after the account's proven stable

Mistakes that cost advertisers access

This list is our reading of Reddit's pages plus what advertisers ask about in its forum. It isn't Reddit's own list.

Running the business on someone's personal account

If that person's account gets suspended for something they did in a hobby community, your ad access goes with it. Keep the owning login a brand account with no personal activity.

Sharing one password across a team

You lose the audit trail, and one person's mistake is everyone's. Member roles exist so nobody has to do this.

Asking staff to upvote the ads

It feels harmless, and it's exactly what the vote manipulation rule describes.

Picking the wrong currency

Currency and country can't be changed, and a credit line's currency must match the ad account. Check before you click Confirm, especially for a client in another country.

Burning the brand username

It's on your ads and it can't change. Don't let an intern pick it in a hurry.

Disbanding a partnership mid-flight

Ads using shared assets turn off when you do. Plan the handover first, then end it.

Buying an aged Reddit account for ads

Karma doesn't help ad performance, so you'd be paying for nothing, and you'd be running a business on a login with a history you can't see.

Which IP type, if you use one at all

No Reddit page we read mentions IPs or proxies, so the table is our advice, not its policy. For the general reasoning, see how many accounts per mobile proxy.

ConnectionWhat it looks likeOur view for Reddit Ads
Office or home connectionAn ordinary business or subscriberRight for your own accounts and for most agencies
Dedicated mobile lineA phone on a US carrier, shared with subscribers through CGNATOne per client who must stay separate, or a remote buyer who needs a US address
Residential poolA home address, rotated between customersLogin history that moves around, which we wouldn't want on a paid account
Datacenter or VPNA hosting company's addressOther people's history on the IP
Free proxy listsA stranger's serverNever for an account with a card attached

Can I run multiple Reddit ad accounts on the same IP?

Nothing we read says you can't. Business Manager and Partners exist so one team can reach many ad accounts, and that team usually sits on one connection.

Will a proxy get me extra ad accounts?

No. The limit is your business's managed status, which Reddit sets. Vendors like Multilogin sell isolated profiles for creating several Reddit Ads accounts, and that's a claim about their product. It doesn't change Reddit's rule, and we wouldn't build a paid channel on it.

Does Reddit block VPNs?

We can't say from the pages we read, because they don't cover it. A shared VPN or datacenter address does carry strangers' traffic, which is IP reputation, and that history comes along on every login. Mobile vs residential proxies has the longer comparison.

How many Reddit ad accounts per IP would we run?

Our recommendation: all of your own accounts on your normal connection, and one dedicated line per client only when that client asks to stay separate. Carriers already put many subscribers behind each address through CGNAT, so a shared IP on its own proves nothing about who's behind it. If you do use a line, hold it still, and rotate between checks, not in the middle of a login.

Where White Cloak fits

We sell dedicated US mobile proxies, so weigh this accordingly: most people running several Reddit ad accounts don't need one. Partners, member roles and a talk with Reddit's sales team cover nearly all of it. Where a line earns its place is checking your own ads and landing pages for ad verification, and the narrow agency case above. If you run client work across platforms, social media agency proxies covers that, and the same questions for other ad platforms are in multiple Google Ads accounts, multiple TikTok Ads accounts and multiple Facebook Business Managers.

Need a dedicated US carrier IP for a client account that must stay separate? HTTP and SOCKS5 credentials are issued instantly.

Frequently asked questions

Can you have multiple Reddit ad accounts?

Yes, if your business is managed by Reddit. Reddit says only managed businesses can create additional ad accounts. Self-serve advertisers can use a separate business for each brand and connect them through Partners.

Can I run multiple Reddit ad accounts on the same IP?

Nothing in the Reddit help pages we read limits ad accounts by IP. Agencies reach many ad accounts from one connection through Business Manager and Partners.

How do I add another ad account in Reddit Ads?

Managed businesses go to Assets, then Ad Accounts, and create a new one, choosing a name, a primary contact, a time zone, a currency, up to 10 additional members, and the profiles and credit lines to include.

How do I run Reddit ads from a different profile?

A profile is the username shown on your ad. Managed businesses ask their Reddit ads expert to add one. Businesses can also share profiles with each other through Partners.

Can I share one Reddit profile across ad accounts?

Yes. Reddit says a profile may be shared across multiple ad accounts. You manage profiles in Business, then Profiles.

How do I give an agency access to my Reddit ad account?

Use Business, then Partners. Create or join a partnership and share the profiles and ad accounts the agency needs. Reddit strongly recommends this for partnering with a brand.

Is it allowed to have multiple Reddit accounts?

Yes. Reddit's help center says you're more than welcome to create multiple accounts, and you can use the same email. Don't use them to vote on the same posts or comments.

Why was my Reddit Ads account suspended?

Reddit says that when your Reddit account gets suspended, it automatically suspends your access to Reddit Ads. If your account isn't suspended and you still can't get in, you might be caught in the spam filter.

Does karma matter for Reddit ads?

No. Reddit's setup guide says karma won't affect your ad performance, so a new brand account can advertise without an organic history.

Do I need a proxy for multiple Reddit ad accounts?

Usually not. The limit on ad accounts is your managed status, which an IP can't change. A dedicated line only helps an agency keeping one client on a connection no other client shares, or a remote buyer who needs a steady US address.
